See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. Due to an extraordinary number of sports preemptions from NBC in Quarter 3, KARE had a shortfall in the number of credited hours of childrens programming. Out of the 78 childrens programs, 39 were preempted due to sports. All of the 39 programs were rescheduled within core hours. However, several of the shows were not in a consistent time period, so KARE made good childrens shows in Quarter 4 to make up the difference. During the 4th Quarter, KARE made good our 3rd quarter shortfall, as follows: Fridays at 11:00 am: 13 weekly episodes of Into the Outdoors within Quarter 4 Fridays at 11:30 am: 13 weekly episodes of Animal Exploration within Quarter 4 DIGITAL CORE PROGRAM 1 Voyager with Josh Garcia was preempted on Sunday, 10/1/16, due to NBC's coverage of the Ryder Cup.
