See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. Effective September 17, 2016, KUSI-TV added a new slate of E/I programming to the schedule, & programs from the old block were either moved or replaced. Throughout the process KUSI-TV aired a minimum of 3 hours every week, in compliance with FCC rules. Start & end dates are outlined beside each program in the "Digital Core Program Summary", together with a note, next to the "Day/Time regularly scheduled" question, on the programs that were moved. Also effective on 9/17/16, KUSI-TV will air 3.5 hours of E/I programming during core, and an additional 1 hour during non-core hours. In summary, the following are the changes made to our Kids Block: "Jack Hanna Animal Adventures" and "Exploration with Jarod Miller"ended on 9/10/16. "Ocean Mysteries", "Expedition Wild", "Brain Games", "Dog Town" & Hatched all started on 9/17/16 "Teen Kids News" and "Jack Hanna - Into the Wild" moved to different time-slots during core hours. "Live Life and Win" and "Made in Hollywood Teen" moved to non-core hours. Although these two children's programs were broadcast outside of the core hours, they can be recorded and replayed during children's viewing hours.

Built on 33,000 acres of pristine land in Utah, Dog Town, USA is the Nation's preeminent facility dedicated to finding safe homes for abandoned dogs. Each week, their highly skilled staff and internationally renowned experts first create a safe sanctuary for dogs, then their medical professionals provide unique personal care to each dog, in order to rehabilitate and unite them with a loving new home. The program is produced for ages 13-16 and will inspire young people to pursue their dreams, while valuing the importance of dedicating oneself to the greater good of community and family. The series demonstrates the powerful interaction between humans and animals with a focus on our canine companions. The program educates and informs the audience about canine training techniques, and creating healthy environments for dogs. Experts teach teen viewers how to be a responsible pet owner and maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle for both family and pet. Viewers will get to know and care about these dogs and the heroes who do whatever it takes to give them a second chance.
