This report has been revised to correct that error and properly reflect the digital core programs aired by the station. On April 8, Photographer/Producer Aaron Wernimont gave a tour of WDIO to various elementary students (Special Ed Class) from Churchill Elementary School. On April 22, Photographer/Producer Aaron Wernimont gave a tour of WDIO to various elementary students (Girl Power) from the Duluth MN YWCA. On May 4, Creative Services Manager Jeff Laundergran gave a tour of WDIO to 3rd graders from the Duluth MN Girl Scouts. On April 13, Meteorologist Justin Liles taught 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 6th grade students from Assumption School, Hibbing MN about weather. On April 20, WDIO's Anchor/Reporter Renee Passal taught five classes of 2nd grade students about how we gather stories and read three stories and asked questions about the news books. On April 22, News Anchor Darren Danielson served as emcee of a fundraiser/gala/dinner banquet for the Boys and Girl's Club of the Northland in Duluth, MN focusing on WDIO's 50th year of broadcasting and our anniversary celebration. On May 24th, Chief Meteorologist Justin Liles went to the Grand Rapids Fair Grounds in Grand Rapids MN and was the guest speaker at Water Summit for 5th graders. 5th year participating in the event. On May 25th, Chief Meteorologist Justin Liles went to Park Point to talk to 5th grade students from Washburn WI on the importance of Lake Superior in Duluth, MN.
