Include any other comments or information you want the Commission to consider in evaluating your compliance with the Children's Television Act (or use this space for supplemental explanations). This may include information on any other noncore educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. KBFX-CD is proud to support the children of our community with a variety of community outreach projects. Many of our projects utilize our airwaves, in conjunction with the quarters' non-broadcast efforts: Campout Against Cancer, Relay for Life, Annual Bakersfield Jazz Festival, U.S. Army Arena Bowl, One Classroom At A Time, National Weather Association - Kern Chapter and Club/School Tours. Each week, local public service announcements specifically designed to serve the educational and informational needs of children are scheduled to air on KBFX. A few examples are: High School Drop Out-this PSA encourages students to stay in school and to get the best of their education and move onto college; College-this PSA encourages students to plan ahead and set goals to help further their education after high school, as many are not able to afford college and will likely decide not to attend; CSUB-California State University of Bakersfield offers many programs in education and in fields that students may want to pursue careers in. Our efforts are not limited to the examples listed, and more detailed information can be obtained in the station's public file.
