News 19 promoted this event inviting people to start the new year off right by participating in this event. Over 640 people participated and raised more than seven thousand dollars for the Live Strong campaign. The 30th Annual Winter Rec Fest ran from January 22 through January 31, 2016. News 19 is a proud sponsor of this event and helped promote it again this year. This event raises money for the local Youth Enrichment Association and helps cover costs for recreational services throughout the year. The YMCA Valentine Heart Throb Run was held on February 13th. News 19 helped promote this event. The series of Winter runs raised over seven thousand dollars for the Live Strong Campaign.
