Our meteorologists make visits to various local elementary school classrooms to talk with the students about meteorology, weather and science. We held several No Text Zone events at various local high schools to encourage the students to pledge not to text and drive by joining the No Text Zone. These events are hosted by on air talent, sales person that handles the promotion & film team to film the event for airing. We ran the following PSAs during 1st quarter 2016 that covered topics that applied to children- No Text Zone, several different ADHD PSAs, Al Anon, Alcohol Abuse courageous persuaders, Buzzed Driving, Childhood Obesity, Computer skills, Concussion prevention, Drugfree.org, Dental Minute, Diabetes Association, Drunk Driving, Dyslexia, preventing eating disorders, Kids Oral Health, Lets move.org, MADD, Mind your Meds, Pertussis, Reading, Prevent school violence, Several different Stop Bullying PSAs, Teen Suicide prevention, Traverse District Library, Underage Drinking, GED Achievement, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boystown Natl Hotline, Flu shot awareness, Learning & Attention issue, Let Girls Learn, Seat Belt Use, and Unicef. |
