Children sat on stage in the Peanut Gallery, thus making this show a forerunner of interactive programming we enjoy today. The primary value of the series is to educate and entertain elementary school-aged children. In addition, both older children and monitoring adults will find this series amusing and quite charming as Howdy Doody is a timeless character who has an interactive quality.
