Station employees volunteered at several community events including visits to area classrooms by RTV6 Meteorologists, providing tours of the station to school and youth groups. RTV6 sponsored a booth at the Indianapolis Home Show to teach kids to do the weather on the green screen. A local elementary school teacher was killed in a school bus accident and RTV6 held a book drive to honor the principal. RTV6 also presented a $4,000 scholarship to a local minority student for college. Many station on air personalities donated their time to local charities as emcees for fundraising events. |
