Include any other comments or information you want the Commission to consider in evaluating your compliance with the Children's Television Act (or use this space for supplemental explanations). This may include information on any other noncore educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. | Originally completed and placed in the public inspection file on 12/30/2015 and filed electronically with the FCC on 1/5/2016. NOTE: KXMA-TV operates as a satellite station of KXMC-TV, Minot, North Dakota and thus carries the same programming as the parent station KXMC-TV. However, as KXMA-TV is located in Dickinson, North Dakota, in the far western portion of the state, it falls into a different timezone, than its parent station. For this reason, two time slots end up airing prior to 7:00 AM only on KXMA-TV. Specifically, "Chicken Soup for the Soul's Heroes", aired on KXMA at 6:00 AM on Sunday and "Game Changers with Kevin Frazier," aired on KXMA-TV at 6:30AM, rather than at 7:00AM and 7:30AM as on KXMC-TV, and the other two satellite stations KXMB-TV, and KXMD-TV. KXMA is located in Stark County, North Dakota which has only 8,500 television households. The small nature of the market, along with KXMA's status as a satellite station, makes programming changes in order to air these programs at a later time infeasible. |
