Griffin Licensing is not currently airing any programming on 52.2 effective December 1, 2014. In addition to airing a schedule of educational and information programming appropriate for children, KWTV/KSBI serves this segment of the viewing audience in other ways. On-air personnel from KWTV/KSBI make appearances before children and preteens in the community talking about potential careers in broadcasting and what it is like to work at the television station. KWTV/KSBI also sponsor and support various community outreach projects aimed at addressing the needs and concerns of children and preteens. On May 9th, Xploration Outer Space and Xploration Earth were pre-empted by severe weather coverage. On May 16th and Ma 23rd, Xploration Earth was pre-empted by severe weather coverage. Even with these pre-emptions, KSBI still had more than 3 hours per week of children's E/I programming that ran as scheduled. |
