Activities Report Promotions October - December 2014: Our Kids- October -National Child Safety Month / Halloween Safety November - Pilgrims & Thanksgiving December - Christmas Toy Safety October- Safety Month November to December Christmas for KIDS. KODE partners with the Joplin Fire Dept. to give toys to children who may not otherwise get anything for Christmas. October-Present Station Tours- School students around the area visit the KODE station. The anchors take them around to show them the station and the work that goes into each night's newscasts November - December Christmas Parades. The station participated in 4-5 parades to meet the viewers and hand out candy to the local children. Helping Hands, Helping Others. Our viewer's collected donations of canned food and non-perishable food items to help local food shelters Souls Harbor and the Wesley House
