Shot from a number of photographic perspectives, the viewer is introduced to the biodiversity of the area, how animals are adapted to the environment and the changes humas have imposed on the environment as well as the positive impact of local conservation efforts in the region. While Jack Hanna introduces the habitat and the wildlife, regional guides are given the expert status and the viewer becomes engaged in the natural environment with the same enthusiasm as Jack's family.
