Animal trainer, Brandon McMillan operates a training facility known as the Lucky Dog Ranch where his mission is to rescue hard-to love and untrained dogs and find them homes. The show focuses on exercising responsibility and on developing a sense of appreciation for life and animals. Life lessons are an integral part of the theme of rescuing these animals from death and providing a second chance for life. In order to accomplish his goal, McMillan must investigate what each animal needs to find the appropriate method to retrain them so that they will make welcome members in a family. Through watching his interaction with these animals, the viewer is encouraged to be sensitive to our own and other's behavior as well as showing how we as individuals can make a difference. The group viewed the newsroom, news studio, news production and master control operations as well as the outside facilities. Daniel Magruder, Promotions Manager, conducted the tour. 1-20-2015: Children from Kirksville Cub Scout Troop 401 Tigers visted the KTVO Studios in Kirksville. The group consisted of 4 children and adults. The group viewed, news room, news studio, news production, and master control as well as the outside facilities. Dan Magruder, Promotions manager, conducted the tour and Teresa Carter, Chief Meterologist, helped him. 02-19-2015: An Iowa State University student spent the day job shadowing at the KTVO Studios in Kirksville. He observed Sales, Master Control, News room, production control and Creative Services operations. Katie Cagle, Cody Flanagan, Andrew Shennan, Ashley Hoak and Dan Magruder assisted in showing the student studio operations. 03-13-2015: A senior from Brashear High School, job shadowed John Garlock, Anchor\Reporter for three hours on March 13, 2015. She was here from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to learn about the news broadcasting business. She watched John produced the 6 p.m. newscast and stayed and watched the 5 p.m. newscast in the studio. 03-30-2015: Four high school students from Bevier, Mo. High School toured the KTVO Studios in Kirksville. The students viewed news room, studio control and master control operations as well as the outside facilities. Assisting in the tour were Ela Soroka, Jessica Howard and Dan Magruder.
