While on the adventure he is accompanied by Olive, a knowledgeable imaginary playmate, and Squidgy the morphing flying sponge, who provides commentary and comedy along the way. Sean is accompanied by Doggity, an every-faithful Beagle dog, who transforms into an animated character during interstitial trips to a parallel universe and kitchen full of prank playing animated characters. While the show will be enjoyed by preschoolers, the projects are very practical and engaging to implement for children ages 5-8. Events benefiting children sponsored in part by KOMU-TV include: Show Me State Games 3v3 Soccerfest, Kings Daughters Festival benefiting children in need of dental care and the City of Columbia's First Night Celebration. Following are examples of non broadcast efforts made by KOMU-TV: Career Day/Partners in Education KOMU-TV staff members are often involved in local efforts for career education in Mid-Missouri. On-air personalities visit area schools where they speak about journalism and broadcasting. Prize Donation Throughout the year: KOMU-TV provides a variety of prizes for area non-profit groups and schools. We provide items ranging from shirts and hats to pens and stickers for groups involved in raising funds or providing incentives for students.
