"Children First" is a year-long effort with KFSN/ABC30 and its partners, Valley Children's Hospital, Educational Employees Credit Union, and Fresno County Office of Education, which focuses on the challenges, problems and opportunities facing children and youth. KFSN's involvement in Children First includes local news-produced half-hour programs, 30-second vignettes and public service announcements (PSAs)that included such topics as "Talk, Read & Sing to your Baby", and "Technical Careers", along with special reports on Action News (all on 30.1). This quarter, KFSN aired "Children First: The Early Years," a 30-minute program, on Sunday, August 1,2015 @ 5PM PT on 30.1. Also this quarter, KFSN aired "Children First: Community Heroes," a 30-minute program on Sunday, August 30, @ 6:30PM and again on Sunday, September 6 @ 10:30AM.
